:) As if I didn't try that! I even thought that there was some way to
PERMANENTLY choose a graphic mode and I discovered it by accident :)

OK, thank you and all of those who answered me. You got it right, it was a
software problem! :)

I can explain what happened:

Throughout my experiments, I started to put comments in some
'startup-sequence' instructions to see if the problem was from there (I had a
problem with my df0: drive, It was not connected, and when the computer looked
for PC0: it hanged up!!!). I thought the the instructions I put comments on
were useless... I was wrong :)

The major things were:

Iprefs ... That's why I couldn't use the preferences. I thought Iprefs was
some kind of 'NickPrefs' or other kind of shareware program that was messing
all the thing. I realized that it is standard and it allows you to use the
preferences

The other one was 'SetPatch'... I heard that this instruction fixed some bugs
in the operating system, but I didn't expect to be bugs THIS BIG... If you
don't run 'SetPatch', you lose the AGA mode!!! Strangely, if you boot with 'No
Startup-Sequence' the AGA mode works normally. Oh... And without the AGA mode
I lost half the power of the Warp Engine...!!! And that's it... Two miserable
instructions that made me lose a whole weekend. BTW, this stupid problem was
fixed in 10 minutes!!!

Now, some funny (annoying :) ) things:

I had to close my A4000 more than a dozen times!!!

Some of them because: I forgot to turn on the master-jumper in the IDE drive
and it didn't boot up; I forgot to move the jumper inside the A4000 from NTSC
to PAL; and last but not least, when I was going to screw the screws in place,
I found out that I left the screwdriver inside the A4000, somewhere near the
drives and the Power!!!
